The work in this area will focus primarily on preparation and characterization of thin films of chalcogenide perovskites, characterization of their optical and electrical properties and development of device applications. The project is part of an ongoing collaboration with several prestigious institutions.
Qualification requirements for interested candidates:
The work in this area will focus primarily on characterization of optical properties of quantum confined nanocrystals and development of new spectroscopy characterization tools at a single nanostructure level, using confocal optical microscopy. The project is part of an ongoing collaboration with several prestigious international institutions.
Qualification requirements for interested candidates:
The work in this area will focus primarily on chemical synthesis of quantum confined inorganic nanocrystals by modern colloidal synthesis methods. The project is part of an ongoing collaboration with several prestigious international institutions.
Qualification requirements for interested candidates:
Where will you work? The research will be performed at an EU financed, newly established Laboratory for Advanced Materials (LAM), located in the recently constructed CU Science Park (https://cusp.uniba.sk), under the direction of Dr. Milan Sykora (ERA Chair). As LAM research staff you will become a member of a multi-disciplinary research team of chemists, physicists and material scientists. You will have opportunity to apply and develop modern experimental methods for preparation and characterization of advanced materials and nanomaterials. You will have opportunity to collaborate with other research teams from Comenius University, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Slovak Technical University, as well as our collaborators from other countries of EU and USA.
Compensation. Attractive salary at the EU level, depending on experience and performance. Exceptional candidates will receive support for submission of prestigious Marie-Curie Fellowship (https://marie-sklodowska-curie-actions.ec.europa.eu/actions/postdoctoral-fellowships)
If you are interested in either of the positions, please contact Dr. Milan Sýkora via e-mail (sykoram@uniba.sk) as soon as possible. In the e-mail please state what area you are interested in and why would you like to work at LAM (in the context of your prior position/experience and your future plans), and attach a CV (three-page max.). Recommendation letter from your mentor(s) is a plus.
